Election Week has begun!
Every semester at NTNU, new student representatives at the department- and faculty level are elected. In the spring semester 2017, these elections are held simultaneously with the election of new student representatives for the NTNU board of directors!
Over the last few years, the student democracy in Trondheim has experienced low voter turnout. It’s very unfortunate that students in ‘Norway’s best student city’ don’t seize their democratic opportunity to influence their own daily life as students. Therefore, in an attempt to raise awareness and voter turnout, we are coordinating the elections for all Student Councils with the election of new representatives to the board of directors. Aditionally, the elections are held online, to ensure that the greatest possible number of students are able to cast their vote. Elections for Department Representatives (ITVs) will be held electronically (via ValgWeb) at these departments [TBA]. ITVs at other departments are elected at their respective general assemblies. Elections for representatives at the faculty level is always held electronically.
Election Week 2017 at NTNU campus Dragvoll is held March 27th to March 31st, arranged by the Student Councils for the Faculty of Humanities (HF) & the Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences (SU). On this page, you’ll find further information about candidates, issues and how to cast your vote. Every day from March 27th until the end of the elections, student representatives will be available on stand in ‘Gata’ at Campus Dragvoll. Here, you can ask questions and get information on the elections.
